In the early days, she launched the Etsy blog and video program, and the site feature for Etsy Teams (a way for members to connect online around common interests or location). She then ran the Seller Education program. Currently, she works on Etsy Wholesale, a new area of business for Etsy, now in beta, where retailers discover and connect with professional independent artists and designers. Vanessa holds a BA from Harvard and a Master’s Degree from MIT. Prior to working for Etsy, she made a documentary film about the history of the secondhand clothing industry.
